An Executor of a Will, or an Administrator if there is no Will, has the responsibility of managing the administration of the estate and ensuring that the terms of the Will are carried out.

Some estates can be straight forward to manage, in other cases, particularly when the estate pays Inheritance Tax it is more complex.  In most estates a Grant of Probate, or a Grant of Administration,  is needed to be able to deal with the administration.
